1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Kaxa ("the app", "the service") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the app. By downloading the app from Google Play or the App Store, you also agree to the terms of service of the corresponding store.

2. Description of the service

Kaxa is a personal finance organization app that lets you track expenses and income, organize them into pockets, create budgets, track debts, and set savings goals. Kaxa includes an AI-assisted entry feature that processes text input to automatically categorize transactions.

Kaxa is an organizational tool and does not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice. The AI feature may make interpretation or categorization errors; always verify automatically generated records before making financial decisions based on them.

3. Subscriptions and pricing

Kaxa offers the following subscription plans, managed through Google Play and/or the App Store via RevenueCat:

Prices may vary based on local taxes applied by the app store. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled before the renewal date from your Google Play or App Store account settings. The renewal charge is applied within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

4. Free trial

The weekly plan includes a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged the price of the selected plan. Only one free trial is allowed per Google Play or App Store account.

5. Refund and cancellation policy

Cancellation: you may cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play → Subscriptions → Kaxa → Cancel, or through App Store → Settings → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you retain Premium access until that date. No prorated refunds are issued for unused time within a period.

Refunds: refunds are handled directly by Google Play or the App Store according to their policies. Google Play allows refund requests within the first 48 hours of a purchase at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Kaxa does not process refunds directly.

Statutory rights: nothing in this policy limits any refund or warranty rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.

6. Right of withdrawal (EU and UK users)

If you reside in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from a digital services contract within 14 days of purchase (cooling-off period). However, by beginning to use the app within that period, you acknowledge and agree that the digital service has begun to be performed and that, to the extent the service has already been provided, you waive your right of withdrawal. Refunds for unused periods are handled through the corresponding app store. This clause does not affect other consumer rights recognized under applicable local law.

Kaxa, its logo, design, and content are owned by its developers. No ownership rights over the app are granted by using the service, only a limited, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, non-transferable license to use it in accordance with these terms.

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. This limitation does not apply where local law expressly prohibits it.

10. Changes to the service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of Kaxa at any time. If a change significantly affects your subscription, we will try to notify you with reasonable advance notice through the app or by email.

11. Termination and data upon cancellation

You may stop using Kaxa and cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain Premium access until the end of the paid period. Your financial data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or manually delete its data. We may suspend access for accounts that violate these terms.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Honduras, without prejudice to the consumer protection provisions of your country of residence that cannot be contractually excluded. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent courts, respecting the procedural rights recognized in your jurisdiction.
